Goramahagat is actually written go raibh maith agat in gaelic and means "Thank you".
The repertoire of Goramahagat includes ancient celtic songs in gaelic and english. In Ireland these songs are traditionally sung by one singer alone, with no instrumental accompaniment and are known as Sean-Nós, which means "the old way".
Fascinated and charmed by these old melodies we began to sing the Sean-Nós in harmonies, accompanied by guitar and keyboard.
You could call our interpretation of those songs Nu-Nós, "the new way".
Our tutors for these beautiful songs are:
Elizabeth Zollinger (Zurich, CH, www.irish-culture.ch) and Treasa Ní Mhiolláin (Aran Islands, Ireland).
Since 2012 Goramahagat plays also together with the Duo Larkin as "Celtic Treasures" (www.celtic-treasures.com)

Playing together as the quartett "Celtic Treasures" makes the music even more powerful.
